“In my twenty five years working in TV, the most remarkable single shot was filming fishing bats at night in the Pantanal. Shooting super slow mo, we waited all night praying for the impossible; a bat to snatch a fish in the centre of the beam. It happened once, just once in that whole night. On a rocking boat, in the light of a torch, Mike got a shot that couldn’t have been bettered in a month shooting in a studio; the fishing bat’s claws slicing through what looked like molten chocolate, snatching his prey in the crispest focus.
